Fee Structure

Our firm is committed to transparency and predictability.

A pricing approach designed for clarity

Fees depend on the nature, scope, urgency, and complexity of the matter. Lexagor Law may offer hourly, flat-fee, contingency, or hybrid arrangements where appropriate and lawful. The applicable structure, scope of work, staffing, client responsibilities, expenses, and payment terms will be stated in a written engagement letter.

A contingency or hybrid arrangement is not available for every matter. The firm must accept the matter, and the written fee agreement and applicable law control. Filing fees, experts, translations, investigators, service costs, travel, and other disbursements may be separate unless the engagement letter states otherwise.

Hourly billing

Flexibility for matters where scope evolves

Hourly billing provides flexibility for matters where the scope evolves, including commercial litigation, contract disputes, negotiations, and complex transactions. Clients are billed for time actually spent on strategy, drafting, negotiation, communication, and advocacy.

Flat fees for defined services

Predictability for defined deliverables

Flat fees create predictability for defined deliverables. Where a matter can be scoped responsibly, flat fees may be available for work such as: entity formation packages; certain filings; defined contract drafting projects; immigration filings; and discrete document preparation.

Contingency arrangements

Performance-based arrangements for eligible matters

Where lawful and appropriate, contingency arrangements may be available for eligible matters involving monetary recovery. The terms are confirmed in a written retainer agreement and depend on claim type, risk profile, and recoverability.

Hybrid fee arrangements

Combined structures for defined and evolving work

Some matters are best structured through a combination of billing models rather than a single fee method. Where the representation includes both defined deliverables and evolving components, a hybrid arrangement may align more accurately with the work required.

Hybrid structures may combine flat-fee components for defined services such as contract drafting with hourly billing for negotiations, advisory work, or litigation phases. In appropriate recovery matters, contingency components may also be included where lawful. An agreed cap may apply to specified hourly phases.

Any hybrid arrangement will be stated in a written engagement letter that defines the scope, billing method for each component, responsibility for costs, and any performance-based terms. Hybrid arrangements are not available for every matter.

Scope control and engagement letters

Every engagement begins with a written engagement letter that defines scope, responsibilities, timelines, billing method, and communication expectations.

Consultation fee credit

If the firm is retained, the consultation fee will be credited against the first invoice unless otherwise stated. The firm does not charge an initial consultation fee for matters it elects to evaluate for potential contingency representation. Book a Consultation to discuss the billing structures that may be available for your matter.
